The enrolment fee is £450 or £45 per month interest-free over 10 months.

What camera/ equipment do I need for this course?
A wedding photographer will eventually need a camera and backup camera; a medium zoom and telephoto lens; wide angle lens and prime lenses; speedlights; tripod and light stands and more. You do not need all this equipment to start the course. You must have a camera that allows you to control the manual settings.

Can I study from anywhere in the world?
Yes, as long as you have an internet connection, you can access the course. We have students from Bournemouth to Brunei on the course and everywhere in between! Study is done from home or the place of your choice which makes this course completely flexible.

How long does it take to complete the courses?
This is entirely up to you. Some people have completed the Diploma in Wedding Photography in as little as 80 hours of study. Remember, you have as long as you like to complete the course, so you can take your time.

What does this online course involve?
The Diploma in Wedding Photography course takes you through a series of units to help develop your skills. It will normally involve tests at the end of each unit and a practical assignment of some kind. Online courses are a framework on which to build your skills. The more effort you put into the assignments, the more you will get out of the course. We also suggest you join the Facebook Group and interact with other students to really get the most out of the learning experience.

Can I speak to someone if I get stuck?

Do I have to spend time in the classroom?
No, these are 100% online courses and are designed to be flexible for home learning. You can complete the course in your own time and fit your learning around other commitments, while still enhancing your photography knowledge.

What certificate will I receive?
You will receive a CPD accredited official IOP® certificate on completion in pdf form

Do I need to take photographs of an actual wedding to pass the course?
If possible, it is best to complete the Final Assignment using an actual wedding, whether you offer your services free or you shadow a professional. However, sometimes this may not be possible and we will ask you to provide similar photos to those that you would take at a wedding e.g a posed portrait. Your Tutor is flexible and here to help you with all of this.

Will I be able to work as a professional wedding photographer when I pass this course?
Yes. Your volume of work will very much depend on your portfolio and business/ sales skills. We can help you with these aspects so that you can start to make money as a wedding photographer.

Once I am finished the course, can I come back to IOP for help?
Yes, as long as you log in at least once a year, you can continue to access Tutor support and advice long after you have finished your Diploma.
