My background lies in music. I have been a drummer from a very young age and retired when I was about forty years old. When I retired, it left me with a hole that was difficult to fill.
Then one day, out of the blue, in 2019, I decided to give photography a go and never looked back. It is a very interesting and rewarding thing to do.
Living in Finland, the natural thing to photograph are wild animals (wild bears and foxes being my favourite) and landscapes. But over these past few years, while learning and discovering the potential of photography, my interest turned more towards HDR, long-exposure, composites, architecture and occasionally portraiture to create more interesting images, and that is exactly what can be found in my gallery on Flickr
Photography is just meant for my own pleasure and for my mental well-being; It is purely therapeutic, but I always strive for high quality and am forever hungry to improve and learn. The Insitute of Photography was a huge part of this, and I am honoured to be now in this gallery of distinction. Thank you.
